HVAC, Architectural, Plumber & Appliance Contractors Needed Western Egyptian Economic Opportunity Council, Central Office located in Steeleville, IL and serving the Illinois counties of Jackson, Randolph, Perry and Monroe, will be holding a contractors' informational meeting for contractors interested in participating in the Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program during the period of July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028. The meeting will be held on June 23, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at the VFW Post 2698 at 1911 N. Market Street, Sparta, Illinois. All contractors interested must call the Weatherization office at 618-443-5231, extension 6, by 4:30 p.m. on June 19, 2026, to register their company name. The purpose of this meeting is to explain the Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program and to distribute informational packets to the contractors. All contractors who attend will be given a contractor pre-qualification application, labor specification list, and price package. All completed packets are due by 3 p.m. on June 29, 2026, at 1820 N Market St, Sparta, Illinois. Examples of procedures are installation of LED light bulbs, water conservation materials, health and safety materials, air sealing (weather stripping, caulking, and patching holes), insulation, furnace repair/replacement, water heater replacement, and refrigerator/freezer replacement.
