IMPORTANT PUBLIC NOTICE! Resident Homeowners of St. Clair County The St. Clair County Intergovernmental Grants Department (IGD) will be accepting names for the PROGRAM YEAR 2026 MODERATE HOUSING REHABILITATION Funds will be available for low income, single family, owner-occupied St. Clair County residents to participate in the St. Clair County Moderate Housing Rehabilitation Program (the program includes all participating areas in St. Clair County including East St. Louis). This program is designed to address housing code violations. Funds will be used to repair interior and exterior systems that threaten the health or safety of occupants. This includes areas such as electrical, plumbing, heating systems, roofing, painting, windows, and doors. Final applications will be completed by eligible low-income resident homeowners of St. Clair County whose pre-applications are selected at a public lottery drawing. Interested homeowners may call the St. Clair County Intergovernmental Grants Department at 618-825-3215 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from Monday, June 8, 2026 to Friday, June 12, 2026, ONLY. Clients must call to receive a pre-application. Walk in clients will not be given a pre-application.
