LEGAL NOTICE The St. Clair County Board of Review Office is accepting applications for the Senior Citizen Assessment Freeze Homestead Exemption for the 2026 assessment year/taxes payable in 2027. The Senior Citizen Assessment Freeze Homestead Exemption freezes the taxable assessment of your property but does not freeze the tax rate. The actual taxes you pay may continue to change based upon the amounts levied by the taxing bodies where you reside. To receive this exemption, you must; have owned and occupied the property on January 1st, 2025, and January 1st,2026; be age 65 or older during 2026; your total household income in 2025 was $75,000 or less.
