REQUEST FOR BID PUBLIC NOTICE INVITATION FOR BID Notice is given for the proposed construction of the VILLAGE OF SAUGET – MONSANTO AVE. SEWER REPAIRS, located in the Village of Sauget, St. Clair County, IL. The Base Bid Contract work in general includes, but is not limited to cleaning, televising and lining with new Cured-In-Place-Pipe (CIPP) approximately 564 lineal feet of 36" vitrified clay pipe (VCP), 743 lineal feet of 30" vitrified clay pipe, and 837 lineal feet of 24" vitrified clay pipe. The project also includes approximately 624 square feet of cementitious patching for manhole interiors, and approximately 4,988 square feet of interior manhole sealing/coating. Included in the work are bypass pumping operations. The Contract work will also include traffic control, site restoration work, and all relative coordination for utilities and governing entities. Additional items and estimated quantities are inclusive in the bid proposal. The Alternate Bid work in general includes, but is not limited to groundwater dewatering operations, and point repairs that involve excavation and shoring if existing pipe is determined to be broken/collapsed after being Televised & Cleaned. The federal prevailing rate of wages (Davis Bacon Act) shall be paid throughout the scope of the project. Award of a contract under this invitation for bids will be federally funded. A mandatory Pre-Bid meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at The Village of Sauget Village Hall, 2897 Falling Springs Road, Sauget, IL 62206. During the meeting, we will discuss project requirements and procedures and a site inspection/field walk through can also occur during this meeting. Electronic bids will be received by the Village of Sauget until 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
