City of Belleville has determined that the buildings on the following properties in the City of Belleville, County of St. Clair, State of Illinois are VACANT, OPEN AND UNSAFE PUBLIC NUISANCES, ARE IMMEDIATE AND CONTINUING HAZARDS TO THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY, AND ARE IN NEED OF IMMEDIATE DEMOLITION: PARCEL #1: Lot 12 in Block 4 of "BRAUN'S FIFTH ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BE, Block 4, Lot 12, St. Clair County"; reference being had to the plat thereof recorded in the Recorder's Office of St. Clair County, Illinois in Book of Plats "G" on page 28. Commonly known as 1209-1211 North Charles Street, Belleville, IL 62221. Permanent Parcel No. 08-22-0-110-014. PARCEL #2: All of Lots 60, 61 and 62 in Block 1 of "JEFFERSON HEIGHTS", excepting the Northwesterly 42.5 feet of even width of said lots reference being had to the plat thereof recorded in the Recorder's Office of St. Clair County, Illinois in Book of Plats "J" on page 44. Commonly known as 1601 Lasalle Street, Belleville, IL 62221. Permanent Parcel No. 08-15-0-423-075, 08-15-0-423-076 and 08-15-0-423-077. PARCEL #3: Lot 8 of "TOWN OF WEST BELLEVILLE"; reference being had to the plat thereof recorded in the Recorder's Office of St. Clair County, Illinois in Book of Deeds "I" on page 285. Commonly known as 9 North 10th Street, Belleville, IL 62220. Permanent Parcel No. 08-21-0-328-012. PARCEL #4: Lot 18 of "BOUL'S WOODCREST"; reference being had to the plat thereof recorded in the Recorder's Office of St. Clair County, Illinois in Book of Plats "P" on page 55. Commonly known as 104 Woodcrest Drive, Belleville, IL 62223. Permanent Parcel No. 02-25-0-316-007. This notice is directed to all owners, lienholders and all other parties of interest with a current legal or equitable interest in the Property (collectively, the "Parties"). The buildings on the Property are, without limitation, structurally unsound, rodent-infested, an attractive nuisance for gang activity and other crimes, are fire hazards, contain refuse and debris, suffer innumerable building code violations, and are uninhabitable. The Parties are responsible for remedying these Property conditions by DEMOLITION. If you do not demolish the buildings and remove all garbage and debris from the Property within thirty (30) days from the date of this notice, the City shall be authorized, intends to and will take action to eliminate these hazards: ACTION WILL INCLUDE DEMOLITION OF ALL BUILDINGS ON THE PROPERTY. You are further notified that should the City be required to take the necessary action to eliminate the hazards caused by these buildings, the owner(s) of record shall be liable for all costs incurred by the City; the City will record a lien for costs and seek cost recovery by foreclosing the lien. You have the right to object to the City taking these actions by filing legal objection in a court of competent jurisdiction including filing a complaint in the Circuit Court of St. Clair County and serving the City Clerk, 10 Public Square, Belleville, Illinois 62220.
