PUBLIC NOTICE OF RECORD OF DECISION SCOTT AFB The United States Air Force (USAF) invites you to review the Record of Decision (ROD) for the selected alternative of No Further Action (NFA) for Installation Restoration Program (IRP) Site UK510 at Scott Air Force Base (AFB), Illinois. Remedial investigation activities completed in 2012, 2017, and 2021 collected sediment and surface water samples for IRP Site UK510. Human health and screening level ecological risk assessments utilized sample analytical results to determine no unacceptable risk to human receptors and negligible potential risk to ecological receptors accessing IRP Site UK510. A ROD was finalized in August 2025 for IRP Site UK510. The ROD described the site characteristics and summarized results from previously completed investigations and risk assessments which provided rationale for the selected alternative of NFA. The selected alternative of NFA for IRP Site UK510 is technically and administratively feasible, protective of human health and the environment, and cost effective. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency concurs with the USAF's selection of NFA for UK510.
