Public Notice
On November 10, 2025, in a Regular Called Meeting, the Haslet City Council passed the following Ordinance:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HASLET, TEXAS, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HASLET, TEXAS, BY CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF APPROXIMATELY 38.566 ACRES OF LAND ADJACENT TO HARMON ROAD AND THE IH-35W FRONTAGE ROAD FROM THE (AG) AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT CONSISTING OF THE (GC) GENERAL COMMERCIAL AS THE BASE STANDARDS AND ADOPTING OTHER DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS FOR THE PD DISTRICT TO ALLOW FOR NEW MOTOR VEHICLE SALES, AS SAID USE IS DEFINED IN THE CITY'S ZONING ORDINANCE; REVISING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; PROVIDING ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
PENALTY CLAUSE: Any person, firm, partnership, corporation, or other entity violating any provision contained in this Ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined an amount not more than $2,000.00; and each day a violation exists shall be deemed a separate offense. A culpable mental state is not required.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption and publication in accordance with and as provided by Texas law. (November 10, 2025)
