Public Notice of Filing for the Center School District #58 The Center School District #58 in Kansas City, Missouri, encourages qualified persons interested in running for a position on the School Board to file to be a candidate in the April 7 th , 2026, election. Three (3) positions, with three (3) year terms each, are up for election on that date. Interested persons must meet each of the following qualifications to file: 1. Must be a citizen of the United States. 2. Must be a resident taxpayer of the Center School District #58. 3. Must have resided in Missouri for a minimum of one (1) year immediately preceding the election date. 4. Must be at least twenty-four (24) years of age. 5. Must not be delinquent in the payment of any state income taxes, personal property taxes, municipal taxes, or real property taxes on their place of residence. If an applicant is a past or present corporate officer of any fee office, that office cannot be delinquent in the payment of any taxes owed to the state. 6. Must also be eligible to hold office in accordance with Missouri law, including §115.306, RSMo. 7. Must have not been found guilty of nor plead guilty to a felony under the federal laws or to a felony under Missouri law or an offense committed in another state that would be considered a felony in Missouri. 8. Must not be registered or required to be registered as a sex offender under Missouri law §162.014. 9. Must have filed all required campaign disclosure reports with the Missouri Ethics Commission, if applicable, for all previous elections in which they were a candidate, §130.071, RSMo. Filing information: Qualified applicants for the Board may file in person in the district office located at 8434 Paseo Blvd. Ballot order will be determined by the order of candidate filing. Interested candidates will form a line at the front door of the Center Academy for Success Building, 8434 Paseo Blvd on the first day of filing Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Filings will be taken, starting at 8:00am. All visitors are required to pass through a metal detector.
