CITY OF HIALEAH ADVERTISEMENT & INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) The City of Hialeah, Florida, will receive electronic (sealed) bids for the project entitled: Emer- gency Operations Center, Standby Generator Replacement and Installation until Wednesday, December 10, 2025 via the City’s e-Procurement Portal located at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/ cityofhialeahfl. The responses must be submitted electronically in the manner specified below in the electronic submittal method described below and in no other manner. Bids submitted in any other manner will not be considered. Emergency Operations Center, Standby Generator Replacement and Installation BID #2025-26-003 Contract documents, including drawings, technical specifications, addendums, and Bid forms may be obtained by registering for free at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/ cityofhialeahfl. The City of Hialeah is soliciting bids from qualified and experienced contractors for a criti- cal, turn-key power resilience project at the City of Hialeah Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and backup 911 call center. The core of this project is the furnishing, installation, and commissioning of a new 400 kW diesel generator system to replace an existing unit within a dedicated generator room. The contractor will be responsible for safely removing the existing generator and associated transfer switch for the City’s reuse, providing the new generator, all required switchgear, wiring, and conduit to properly connect various components to the existing power distribution at the facility to ensure reliable, uninterrupted backup power for these mission-critical services in case of a power outage. Respondents must be authorized dealers who can manage all aspects of the installation, from engineering and permitting to certified documentation, including structural anchoring compliance, to ensure a seamless transition. Each Response must be submitted electronically via the City’s e-Procurement Portal located at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/cityofhialeahfl no later than the date and time specified below. Bids received after said date and time or in some other manner than as stat- ed above will not be considered and no time extensions or waivers will be granted. The City’s schedule for this Solicitation is as follows: (The City reserves the right to delay or modify scheduled dates and will notify Bidders in writing of all changes in scheduled dates.) A bid bond will be required if the bid amount exceeds $100,000.00. A Bid Bond, a certified check, cashier’s check, Treasurer’s check, or bank draft of any State or National Bank in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must be submitted as an original hard copy prior to the closing date and time of the solicitation. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required if the contract amount exceeds $200,000.00. After an approved award, the successful Respondent shall post a Performance and Payment Bond from a Corporate Surety equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the project total, unless otherwise specified. Failure to timely submit any required Bond(s) will result in the disqualification of the bid response or rescission of the bid award, as applicable.
