Notice of Availability Record of Decision for the Atlantic Fleet Training and Testing Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement/Overseas Environmental Impact Statement The U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, after carefully weighing the environmental consequences of the Proposed Action, announce the release of the Record of Decision to conduct training and testing activities in the Western Atlantic Ocean along the eastern coast of North America, the Gulf of America, and portions of the Caribbean Sea as described in Alternative 1 of the Atlantic Fleet Training and Testing Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement/Overseas Impact Statement. Alternative 1 is the preferred alternative, and is representative of an annual level of training and testing activities that accounts for the natural fluctuations of training cycles, deployment schedules, use of synthetic training opportunities, and testing programs.
