NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
SAN MIGUEL JOINT UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT
 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the San Miguel Joint Union School District ("District"), at its regular meeting on November 13, 2025, will hold a public hearing to consider the adoption of the proposed School Facility Fee Justification Report for Residential, Commercial & Industrial Development Projects ("Fee Justification Report") and a Resolution of the Board to approve the District's share of the statutory fee rates of $5.17/sq. ft. of assessable space for residential development, and $0.84/sq. ft. of chargeable covered and enclosed space for commercial/industrial projects (except rental self-storage projects).  Pursuant to its fee sharing agreement with Paso Robles Joint Unified School District, the District will be collecting 73% of the statutory rates.
 
The Fee Justification Report will be made available for public review at least ten (10) days prior to adoption by the Board as required by law at both the District's administrative office, located at 1601 L Street in San Miguel, and on the District's website.
 
On Thursday, November 13, 2025, the public hearing will begin at 6:00 p.m., or as soon as practicable thereafter, at Lillian Larsen Elementary School, 1601 L St. in San Miguel.[DWK1]   Details for public participation is provided on the Board's webpage.  Any written comments must be submitted to the District no later than 5:00 p.m. the day before the public hearing.
 
Any person challenging the approval of the Fee Justification Report or the statutory fee rates in a court of competent jurisdiction after the conclusion of the public hearing may be limited to only those issues raised at the hearing or in written correspondences received by the District by the submission deadline.
