NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Town of Cornelius 21445 Catawba Avenue, Cornelius, NC The Town of Cornelius Board of Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 6:00 PM in Town Hall on the following items: TA 04-25 Signs: Proposed Land Development Code Text Amendment to amend code sign and fence requirements in Chapters 2, 3, and 10. These amendments will clarify existing standards related to quantity and illumination of building-mounted signage, create decision standards for administrative sign variances, reduce the number of sign illumination types allowed in the downtown core, create additional sign allowances in the downtown core, and create new standards for temporary construction fence wrap signage. Downtown Master Plan: Proposed adoption of the 2050 Downtown Master Plan, a small area plan intended to guide future development and public investment in the Old Town Cornelius district for the next 25 years. This document provides a cohesive policy direction for this district, which includes a walkable and well-connected transportation network, a series of new land use typologies, economic development catalyst site block plans, branding and wayfinding, and a detailed implementation strategy.
