NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Variances/Special Exception
The City of Beaufort Zoning Board of Appeals will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 5:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers on the second floor at Beaufort City Hall, 1911 Boundary Street, Beaufort, S.C., to consider the following:
The applicant, Alicia D. Hart, is requesting a special exception from Section 3.3.2.D.2.b for 510 Ribaut Road to allow for a major home occupation for counseling and training. The property is further identified as R120 003 000 535A 0000.
The applicant, Scott Qualls with Q Enterprises, is requesting a setback variance from Section 2.4.1.B.6 for 2419 Hermitage Road to build an attached garage with a 2nd floor, bedroom, bath, and den. The property is further identified as R120 005 000 0063 0000.
The applicants, William & Katherine Younce, are requesting a variance from Section 5.8.2.A for 2802 Broome Lane to extend existing 6 foot fence. The property is further identified as R120 006 000 0255 0000.
Documents relating to this request are available for public inspection between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday at the Beaufort City Hall, 1911 Boundary Street, Beaufort. Interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and to comment on the application. Written comments can also be submitted prior to the hearing to the City of Beaufort Community Development Department, 1911 Boundary, Beaufort, S.C. 29902.
