Public Hearing Opportunity: Tell the Town of Chapel Hill about Community Development & Affordable Housing Needs!
The Town of Chapel Hill receives federal funding for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to use toward providing decent housing, suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities for primarily low and moderate-income peoples. The Town of Chapel Hill has received CDBG funds since 1975 and has used these funds to support a variety of affordable housing initiatives and community service programs.
The Town Council will hold a public hearing during the Council Meeting at 6:00pm on Wednesday November 12, 2025, at 405 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, to hear from residents about community development and affordable housing needs. Public comments will be used to help determine specific funding priorities for the 2026-2027 CDBG Program Year.
