NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VACATING AN ALLEY ON 45TH STREET On November 19, 2025 at 6:45 p.m. a Public Hearing will be held by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Fairmont City, Illinois at the Fairmont City Community Center at 4001 Cookson Road Fairmont City, Illinois for the purpose of considering and hearing testimony as to an Ordinance Vacating an Alley on 45th Street legally described as follows: An alley 15 feet wide adjoining the southerly side of Lot 20 of a Re-subdivision of Part of Lot 3 of the Northwest Quarter of Section 9 (Now a part of the Village of Fairmont City), Township 2 North, Range 9 West of the Third Principal Meridian, Village of Fairmont City, County of St. Clair, State of Illinois, reference being had to the plat thereof in the St. Clair County Recorder's Office in Book of Plats "Y", on page 8 and being more particularly described as follows. Beginning at the southwest corner of said Lot 20; thence northeasterly on the southeasterly line of said Lot 20, being the northwesterly right of way line of the alley, 130.60 feet, more or less, to the southeast corner of said Lot 20; thence southerly on the southerly extension of the easterly line of said Lot 20, to the southeasterly right of way line of said alley and also being the northwesterly right of way line of the Consolidated Rail Corp., thence Southwesterly on said southeasterly right of way line of said alley, 130.60 feet, more or less, to the southerly extension of the westerly line of said Lot 20 also being the easterly right of way line of North 45th Street; thence northerly, on said southerly extension to the Point of Beginning. Said right of way contains 0.04 acres, more or less. Subject to easements, conditions and restrictions of record. Subject to the rights of the adjoining owners to the south and utility companies with existing facilities in said right of way.
