LEGAL NOTICE
Comments are being accepted on proposed amendments to the regional
long-range transportation plan, Communities in Motion 2050 (CIM 2050) and the regional transportation improvement program (TIP), the budget of transportation projects in Ada and Canyon Counties.
This amendment would add one new short-term funded project for the Ada
County Highway District (ACHD) to design and construct four multimodal
transportation facilities in the City of Boise. ACHD was awarded the funding
through a competitive federal grant process.
The amendment would also change an Idaho Transportation Department
project to widen State Highway 69 (Meridian Road), which was originally
expected to be widened between
Columbia Road and Victory Road. The
negotiated agreement with the developer would widen the roadway between just north of Columbia Road and just north of Lake Hazel Road, and three traffic signals will be added at Aristocrat Road, Lake Hazel Road, and Prevail Avenue. The budget in the final agreement was also less than originally anticipated.
In addition, this will also propose adding one new Valley Regional Transit
project to the TIP to purchase three replacement vehicles for Boise State
University.
