CHARLOTTE MECKLENBURG SCHOOLS PUBLIC NOTICE SALE OF 3 SCHOOL PROPERTIES Property 1: An offer of $25,000 has been submitted for the sale of certain property owned by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools ("CMS"), more particularly described as follows: A vacant .36-acre parcel (PID 04736105) on N. Graham St, Charlotte, NC 28262 (north of University City Blvd.) (no address assigned). Property 2: An offer of $80,000 has been submitted for the sale of certain property owned by The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education ("CMBE"), more particularly described as follows: A vacant parcel, containing .348 acres (PID 04927109) at 9015 Newell Baptist Church Road, Charlotte, NC 28213. Property 3: An offer of $700,000 had been submitted for the sale of certain property owned by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools ("CMS"), more particularly described as follows: Two vacant parcels (PIDs 08111423, 08111426) at 1425 E. 10th St. and 815 Louise Ave., Charlotte, NC 28204, containing .253 acres. Anyone wishing to upset the offer for either of these properties that has been received shall submit a sealed bid with their offer to Renée Golz, Director of Capital Planning and Real Estate, Facilities Management, CMS Operations, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools at 3301 Stafford Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208 by 5:00 p.m. on Friday November 7, 2025. At that time, the Director of Capital Planning and Real Estate shall open the bids, if any, and the highest qualifying bid will become the new offer. If there is more than one bid in the highest amount, the first such bid received will become the new offer. A qualifying higher bid is one that raises the existing offer to an amount not less than $26,300 for Property 1, $84,050 for Property 2, and $735,050 for Property 3. A qualifying higher bid must be accompanied by a deposit in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid; the deposit may be made in cash, cashier's check, or certified check. CMS will return the deposit on any bid not accepted and will return the deposit on an offer subject to upset if a qualifying higher bid is received. CMS will return the deposit of the final high bidder at closing. The buyer must pay cash at closing. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education must approve the final high offer before the sale is closed, which it will do within 30 days after the final upset bid period has passed. CMS reserves the right to withdraw the property from sale at any time before the final high bid is accepted and the right to reject at any time all bids.
