PIERCE COUNTY SHORELINE MASTER PROGRAM FINAL ACTION PUBLIC NOTICE The Washington State Department of Ecology (Department) hereby provides notice, as required by the Shoreline Management Act (RCW 90.58.090(8), that the Department has taken final action and approved Pierce County's locally initiated amendment to its Shoreline Master Program (SMP). Per RCW 90.58.090, the effective date of Pierce County's SMP amendment is November 4, 2025. Per RCW 90.58.190(2) and RCW 36.70A.290, petitions of appeal must be filed with the Growth Management Hearings Board within 60 days of publication of this notice.
