NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PLACER COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS WHERE: Kings Beach Event Center – 8318 N Lake Blvd., Kings Beach, CA 96143 WHEN: November 18, 2025, at 9:00 AM or as soon thereafter SUBJECT: Tahoe Basin Area Plan – TRPA Phase 2 Amendments (PLN25-00073), Addendum to the Previously Certified 2017 Tahoe Basin Area Plan Environmental Impact Report, Supervisorial District 5 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing at the above place and time to consider the Planning Commission's recommendation to (1) Adopt a resolution approving amendments to the Tahoe Basin Area Plan (TBAP) Implementing Regulations; and (2) Adopt an ordinance approving amendments to the TBAP Implementing Regulations. The proposed TBAP amendments would amend Chapters 2 and 3 of the TBAP Implementing Regulations to refine code sections aimed at incentivizing achievable housing. The amendments are intended to provide additional opportunities for a greater variety of housing types for 100%-deed restricted affordable, moderate, and achievable housing by allowing greater coverage, height and density, and reduced parking requirements, in town centers and multifamily housing zones in the North Tahoe area. The TBAP encompasses the portion of Placer County within the jurisdiction of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, an area of 46,162 acres (72.1 square miles) and includes the communities of California North Stateline, Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Carnelian Bay, Dollar Point, Tahoe City, Sunnyside, Homewood, and Tahoma. The Board of Supervisors will also consider the Planning Commission's recommendation to adopt an Addendum to the previously certified 2017 Tahoe Basin Area Plan Environmental Impact Report, prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act.
