MADERA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY NOTICE BY THE MADERA COUNTY 2006 TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY OF ITS INTENT TO ADOPT AN ORDINANCE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on October 22, 2025, at 3:00 pm, or as soon after as the matter may be heard, at the Madera County Transportation Authority Board Meeting, 2001 Howard Road, Suite 201, Madera, California 93637, the Madera County Transportation Authority intends to adopt an Ordinance, entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE MADERA COUNTY 2006 TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY ORDINANCE NO. 2025-01 (A certified copy of the full text of this ordinance is posted in the office of the Madera County Transportation Commission) SUMMARY An initiative to extend Measure T for an additional twenty years was placed on the November 5, 2024, general election ballot, where it received the required number of votes for approval. In line with this action, the proposed Ordinance further effectuates the enactment, implementation, and administration of the extended Measure T one-half cent sales tax for local transportation funding. In this regard the proposed Ordinance directs the Madera County Transportation Authority to contract with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration to perform all functions necessary for the tax's administration and operation, including implementation of the expenditure plan. The proposed Ordinance was introduced at Board Meeting of the Madera County Transportation Authority on the 23rd day of July 2025. Adoption of the Ordinance will be considered at the Regular Board meeting on October 22, 2025, 3:00 pm., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, at the Madera County Transportation Authority Board Meeting, 2001 Howard Road, Suite 201, Madera, California 93637.
