Sealed proposals will be received by Wake County Procurement Services, in Suite 2900, Wake County Justice Center, 301 McDowell Street, Raleigh, NC 27601, for providing labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of the Wake County Detention Annex Renovation, located in Raleigh, NC.
Sealed bids will be received until 3 PM on November 19, 2025. All bids will be publicly opened and read starting immediately thereafter.
The general scope is as follows:
Renovations to existing Wake County detention annex building; originally constructed in 1988. An addition was added in 2001, and the facility has been closed since 2013. The facility shall be renovated and updated to comply with North Carolina Jail Standards, including space layouts, architectural finishes, detention furniture and components, upgrading of utilities, and site work. The Work also includes construction of a new open-air shelter to provide a cover for Owner-provided storage containers.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2 PM local prevailing time on November 5, 2025 at the Wake County Detention Center Annex, located at 3400 Hammond Road. All prime bidder Contractors are to be present. All Contractors shall note that there is currently construction activity at the site for a separate contract. All Contractors shall bring appropriate construction site PPE (hard hat, gloves, eye protection, sturdy closed toe shoes, and high visibility vest/clothing at minimum) and shall be required to wear PPE during the pre-bid walkthrough.

No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for bids. Wake County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
