THE WHATCOM COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION WILL HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS AND WORK SESSIONS ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. REGARDING: - Proposed amendments to Whatcom County Code Title 20 (Zoning) relating to accessory dwelling units, co-living housing and parking. Every ten years, as part of the periodic update, RCW 36.7A130(1) requires Whatcom County to take legislative action to review and, if needed, revise its comprehensive plan and development regulations to comply with the requirements in Chapter 36.70A.RCW (the Growth Management Act). These amendments to Title 20 are part of the periodic review under the Growth Management Act. - Proposed amendments to WCC Titles 16 (Environment), 20 (Zoning), and Title 22 (Land Use and Development). These are annual Whatcom County Code amendments wherein Planning and Development Services proposes amendments to, clarify code, fix inconsistencies and grammar, and modify or add minor policies.
