City of Bradenton State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program First-Time Homebuyer Purchase Assistance Funding Availability The City of Bradenton will be accepting applications from first-time homebuyers for up to $20,000.00 in purchase assistance beginning November 15, 2025. This funding may be used for downpayment assistance, principal reduction payments, and buying down the rate on the mortgage. HUD FHA 203K loans are eligible for this funding. This assistance is provided as a loan to the homebuyer. To be considered for this funding, applicants must be first-time homebuyers who have completed a HUD-certified first-time homebuyer class and be approved for a mortgage. Funding will be provided on a fist qualified, first served basis, and household income cannot exceed the following limits: 1-person: $105,660 2-person: $120,540 3-person: $135,660 4-person: $150,640 5-person: $162,820 6-person: $174,860 7-person: $186,900 8-person: $198,940 Special needs households will receive a priority for this funding.
