PUBLIC NOTICE Robert Hammersla has applied to the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services Bureau of Coastal Management for a permit to construct a dock for private use in Cat Island Creek. The existing 16'x16' pierhead will be rebuilt with the addition of a roof. A 3' wide x 30' catwalk will be constructed without handrails to access a 12'x13' 4-pile boat lift. The 10'x29' floating dock will be replaced in kind. The 4' wide x 163' long dock walkway will be replaced in kind, and handrails will be installed. The existing 3' wide x 24' long gangway will be replaced with a 4' wide x 24' long aluminum gangway. The 4-pile boat lift will be relocated. The existing 8'x18' floating boat storage located behind the floating dock will be brought into permitting compliance. The purpose of this project is to provide improved recreational water access at 2 S Point Trail, Beaufort, SC 29907.
