NOTICE The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida announces the following Board Policy action will be taken at its meeting on: NOVEMBER 19, 2025 1:00 P.M. School Board Auditorium 1450 N.E. Second Avenue Miami, Florida 33132 To Amend Board Policy 5410, Student Progression Plan, and the document it incorporates by reference, to implement statutory amendments by the 2025 Florida Legislature and align with Florida Board of Education rules and District practices related to student progression. The document establishes the requirements and procedures for student progression within Miami-Dade County Public Schools. These procedures are related to student progression, retention, and special placement, grades K-12 and adult. Proposed policy amendments are indicated by underscoring words to be added and striking through words to be deleted. The policy will be effec­tive upon filing with The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida on November 19, 2025. A person wishing to appeal any decision made by The School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida, with respect to any action on this policy should ensure the prepa­ration of a verbatim record of the proceed­ings, including the testimony and evi­dence upon which the appeal is to be based.
