PUBLIC NOTICE
Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC ("DEC") will make an application to the Public Service Commission of South Carolina ("Commission") on or around October 30, 2025, for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public
Convenience and Necessity for the Construction and Operation of a new
approximately 1365 megawatt natural gas combined cycle electric
generation plant and other associated facilities, including but not limited to, a new multi-breaker 230 kilovolt ("kV") switching station, the fold-in of the
existing Chickasaw B/W 230 kV Lines into the new switching station, and short 230kV bus line connections from the generating units to the switching station, bordered by Highway 81 on the west, True Temper Road to the south, and Old True Temper Road on much of the east side in Anderson County, South
Carolina. This application is being made in accordance with Title 58, Chapter 33, of the South Carolina Code of Laws 1976, as amended, titled the "Utility Facility Siting and Environmental Protection Act."
Once filed, a copy of DEC's application will be available for public review in Docket No. 2025-250-E on the Commission's website at www.psc.sc.gov. Additionally, the application will be available for public review at the following location: Public Service Commission of South Carolina Clerk's Office
