NOTICE: ANNOUNCEMENT OF AVAILABILITY OF DRAFT WASTEWATER PERMIT Permit No. WA0002470 Applicant: Dariold Inc. – Lynden 8424 Depot Road Lynden, WA 98264 Whatcom County Dariold Inc. - Lynden has reapplied for an individual National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit in accordance with the provisions of the Washington State Water Pollution Control Act Chapter 90.48 RCW Revised Code of Washington, Chapter 173-220 WAC Washington Administrative Code, and the Federal Clean Water Act. The proposed permit would authorize the discharge of condensate of whey (COW) water and non-contact cooling water to the Nooksack River at the permitted locations and to discharge clean-in-place water, plant cleaning water and non-compliant COW water to the City of Lynden Wastewater Treatment Plant. Ecology has made a preliminary determination on the effluent limitations and special permit conditions that will prevent and control pollution. A final determination will not be made until all timely comments received in response to this notice have been evaluated.
