CITY OF COLUMBIA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO.: R-2025-069 Public notice is hereby given that the Columbia City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, City Hall, 1737 Main Street, Columbia, South Carolina, to receive public comment on Resolution No.: R-2025-069 - Designating Hollywood/Rosehill Neighborhood a Residential Parking Permit District. WHEREAS, the City of Columbia has received a petition signed by more than fifty (50%) percent of the resident property owners of the 100 Block of South Bull Street requesting that the area be designated as a residential permit parking district; and WHEREAS, a public hearing as provided for by Chapter 12, Division 3, Residential Permit Parking Districts of the 1998 Code of Ordinances of the City of Columbia was duly held; and WHEREAS, considering the recommendations of the Parking Services Director, it appears that said area, as adjusted to conform to the engineering survey and contiguity requirements of the City Code, is severely impacted by non-residential onstreet parking by reason of nearby commercial, recreational and institutional uses, and that such area should be designated as a permit-parking district; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Columbia this 7th day of October, 2025, that the 100 Block of South Bull Street is hereby designated a permit-parking district in which the parking shall be regulated and restricted at all hours, seven days a week, by parking permits pursuant to Sec. 12- 104 of the 1998 Code of Ordinances of the City of Columbia.
