PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF UNIVERSITY PLACE PUBLIC HEARING ON PERIODIC UPDATE OF DEVELOPMENT AND CRITICAL AREA CODES The City of University Place Planning Commission will conduct a hybrid public hearing on October 1, 2025 beginning at 7:00 p.m. to consider a periodic update of the City's development regulations (UPMC Title 19 Zoning) and critical areas ordinance (UPMC Title 17 Critical Areas). Under the State Growth Management Act (RCW 36.70A.130), University Place is required to complete a periodic review and update every ten years. The Comprehensive Plan was updated in 2024, but a review and update of the City's regulations is needed to ensure they are consistent with the updated plan and changes to state law. Proposed amendments are posted on the City's webpage at www.cityofup.com.
