WHATCOM COUNTY NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR AN ADMINISTRATIVE USE Notice is hereby given that on 9/12/2025, Jesse Stoner applied for an Administrative Use Application under case number ADM2025-00022 to authorize a new Detached Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) pursuant to WCC 20.36.132. The property is approximately 5 acres in size and contains an existing residence, a detached barn/studio, and a detached garage. The proposed DADU is served by a private well and on-site septic system and has existing access off of Hawk Ridge Dr, a private road.. The application was determined complete on 9/18/2025, indicating that all submittal requirements were met. The subject property is located at 6772 Hawk Ridge Dr, within Section 11, Township 39N, Range 01E of W.M. Assessor's parcel number: 3901113034720000. The application will be reviewed under the Official Whatcom County Zoning and Critical Areas Ordinances, as well as reviews by Whatcom County Planning and Development Services (Fire Marshal's Office, Natural Resources and Planning), Public Works Engineering and Health Department. Any person may submit written comments to Rhys Butt, the above address or at rbutt@co.whatcom.wa.us, within 14 days of the publication of this notice. Written comments must be received by 10/13/2025. Any person has the right to receive notice of and participate in any hearings, request a copy of the decision once made, and to appeal a decision when allowed by law.
