City of Haslet Public Notice On September 15, 2025, in a Regular Called Meeting, the Haslet City Council passed the following Ordinance: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HASLET, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 12 "TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES" OF THE HASLET CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING ARTICLE 12.01, "GENERAL PROVISIONS," TO AUTHORIZE THE HIRING OF CROSSING GUARDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF STOPPING MOTOR VEHICLES AND DIRECTING PEDESTRIANS; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE OF ALL ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A PENALTY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SAVINGS, SEVERABILITY AND REPEALING CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE PENALTY CLAUSE: Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects, or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be fined not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each offense. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be in full force and effective from and after its passage and upon the posting and/or publication, if required by law, of its caption and the City Secretary is hereby directed to implement such posting and/or publication.
