Public Hearing Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners in the Commission Chambers, second floor, 111 N.W. 1st Street, Miami, Florida, during a meeting to begin at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, to consider a grant application for which a total of up to $130,382,011 Million in capital funding assistance is being sought from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Grant Programs. The following Program of Projects (POP) are being considered: FTA FISCAL YEAR (FY) 2025 SECTION 5307 URBANIZED AREA FORMULA GRANT FUND PROGRAM (Proposed Projects/Budget $78 Million) • Preventive Maintenance Bus • Preventive Maintenance Rail • Vanpool Program-Capital Cost of Contracting • Bus Stops Solar LED Lights-This project represents both the required 1% Security and the 0.75% Safety project. FTA FY 2025 SECTION 5337 STATE OF GOOD REPAIR FORMULA GRANT PROGRAM (Proposed Projects/Budget $44 Million) • Preventive Maintenance Rail FTA FY 2025 SECTION 5339 BUS AND BUS FACILITIES FORMULA GRANT PROGRAM (Proposed Projects/Budget $6 Million) • Articulated Electric Buses • Vanpool Program – Capital Cost of Contracting FTA FY 2025 SECTION 5307 FLEX FUNDS (Proposed Projects/Budget $1 Million) • Guideway Bridge Inspection Total proposed project/budget request for all projects up to………………………$130 Million State Transportation Development Credits from the Florida Department of Transportation up to $32.5 Million will be provided as the local match for the FTA formula and flexed funds in this grant application. At the hearing, the Committee will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the social, economic, and environmental aspects of this project. Interested persons may submit orally or in writing evidence and recommendations with respect to said projects. This will be the final program of projects unless amended and a final notice is published. Interested parties may: (1) view a live broadcast of the Committee meeting in the lobby of the Stephen P. Clark Government Center, located on the first floor; (2) speak, where permissible, in the Miami-Dade Commission Chambers located on the second floor of the Stephen P. Clark Government Center; members of the public will be required to register to speak on the first floor and will be escorted to the Commission Chambers at the appropriate time; (3) view a live broadcast on Miami-Dade Television; (4) view a live webcast at https://www.miamidade.gov/webcasting; (5) after the meeting, view an archived copy of the meeting at www.miamidade.gov/webcasting; or (6) if you are deaf or hard of hearing, you may join the meeting using Florida Relay Service by dialing 711 on your telephone. A person who decides to appeal any decision made by any board, agency, or commission with respect to any such matter considered at its meeting or hearing, will need a record of all proceedings. Such person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.
