NOTICE TO CITIZENS OF HORRY COUNTY: Pursuant to the South Carolina Eminent Domain Procedure Act, Section 28-2-70(c), Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, notice is hereby given that entry by personnel of the South Carolina Department of Transportation will be made in the area of the roads described below, for such purposes as topographic surveys, subsurface exploration, environmental-related studies, and for the gathering of any other data necessary for the planning, development of location alternatives, design, property acquisition, and construction of a highway project. The proposed projects below are funded by the Horry County Ride IV Transportation Sales Tax Program, which was approved by voters in November 2024. SCDOT is managing the program for Horry County Government. Additional right of way is anticipated for some of these projects. Widening of SC 90 between East Cox Ferry Road and US 17 in Horry County 2. Widening of East Cox Ferry Road between SC 90 and SC 544 in Horry County 3. Construction of new interchange ramp at US 17 Bypass and Robert Grissom Parkway Interchange from Robert Grissom Parkway Southbound to US 17 Bypass Northbound in Horry County 4. Construction of a new connection roadway from Sandridge Road to Robert Edge Parkway at the Old Sanders Road traffic signal in North Myrtle Beach 5. Widening of US 701 between SC 9 Bypass and the North Carolina State Line in Horry County 6. Widening of US 17 to accommodate dual left turn lanes at the intersections of 46th Avenue South towards Barefoot Resort Bridge Road and 48th Avenue South in both directions in Windy Hill 7. Widening of 38th Avenue North between Robert Grissom Parkway and Kings Highway in North Myrtle Beach 8. Corridor Improvements along Kings Highway between Farrow Parkway and 31st Avenue North in Myrtle Beach 9.
