NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED RATE OF TAXES FOR THE JUNIOR COLLEGE DISTRICT OF METROPOLITAN KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI Notice is hereby given to those persons residing within The Junior College District of Metropolitan Kansas City, Missouri, hereinafter described as Metropolitan Community College, that a public hearing shall be held within the Board of Trustees Regular Meeting on September 25, 2025, commencing at 5:30 p.m. at MCC-Blue River Campus's Education Center, Room 110, 20301 E 78 Hwy, Independence, MO 64057, for the purpose of enabling citizens to be heard concerning the proposed rate of taxes for said Metropolitan Community College. In accordance with the provisions of Section 67.110, RSMo, the following information is submitted: 1. The assessed valuation by category of real and personal tangible property for fiscal year 2025-2026 is estimated as follows: (a) Real estate $23,139,326,189 (b) Personal property $ 4,270,731,857 2. The assessed valuation by category of real and personal tangible property for the preceding fiscal year is as follows: (a) Real estate $21,320,473,100 (b) Personal property $4,295,853,909 3. The amount of revenue required to be provided from the property tax as set forth in the annual budget adopted by the Board of Trustees for the rate to be levied is as follows: General operating revenue from the property tax: $45,229,000 4. The estimated tax rate proposed to be set for taxation is as follows: General operating levy: $0.1767 cents per $100.00 assessed valuation 5. The amount of revenue estimated from new construction and improvements is projected to be up to $822,817, or 1.78 percent.
