Public Notice Lease of Town Property The Town of Huntersville Board of Commissioners ("Town Board") intends to enter a lease of the following town-owned property: approximately 21,000 rentable square feet of high-ceiling, ground-level space and mezzanine space within the Town Center building located at 105 Gilead Road, Huntersville North Carolina (the current location of Discovery Place Kids). The Town Board intends to lease the property to Discovery Place, Inc. for a term of four years; Discovery Place, Inc. will also have the option to renew the lease for one additional term of six years. In consideration of the lease, Discovery Place, Inc. will make a minimum investment in the property of $2,500,000.00, will pay the Town an annual rent of $1.00, and will pay an annual maintenance fee of $30,000.00. If Discovery Place, Inc. renews the lease, the annual rent during the renewal term will be $1.00 and Discovery Place Inc. will pay 2/3rds of its pro-rata share of utilities for the building. All persons interested in this lease are invited to attend the meeting of the Town to be held at Huntersville Town Hall, located at 101 Huntersville-Concord Road Huntersville N.C., at 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 21st.
