CITY OF RICHLAND Public Notice for Aquatic Plant and Algae Management General Permit Modification to Permit No. WAG994208 Comments Due: October 21, 2025 City of Richland, Christopher Waite, 625 Swift Blvd., Richland, WA 99352, is seeking modification of coverage under the Washington State Department of Ecology's Aquatic Plant and Algae Management General Permit. The proposed modification extends coverage under Permit No. WAG994208 will include aquatic areas surrounding the marina located at Columbia Park West in Richland, Benton County. The expanded treatment area is intended to improve management of invasive aquatic vegetation and maintain navigational and recreational access in and around the marina. Any person desiring to present their views to the Washington State Department of Ecology regarding this Application, or interested in Ecology's action on this Application, may notify Ecology in writing no later than thirty (30) days from the last date of publication of this notice. Ecology reviews public comments and considers whether discharges from this project would cause a measurable change in receiving water quality, and, if so, whether the project is necessary and in the overriding public interest according to Tier II anti-degradation requirements under WAC 173-201A-320.
