LEGAL NOTICE OF INTENT TO SELL THE FOLLOWING COMMODITIES The city of Boise City (City) produces compost from residential yard trimmings and vegetative food scraps. Compost is certified though the U.S. Composting Council's Seal of Testing Assurance program and is recommended for use as a soil amendment, for top dressing landscapes, and as mulch. All compost meets regulatory limits for pathogens and is considered safe for such uses. The City is now accepting letters of interest to purchase compost. The purchase contract will be for a term of thirty-six (36) months. Compost will be sold a volume of eight thousand (8,000) cubic yards per year. The minimum bidding price is four dollars and sixty-seven cents ($4.67) per cubic yard. The contract be awarded in the best interest of the City, based on highest bid prices. Letters of interest to purchase compost can be submitted to the Boise Public Works Department, attn. L Knapp, Compost Program, 150 N. Capitol Blvd, PO Box 500, Boise ID 83701-0500. Letters of interest must be submitted by October 24, 2025.
