View original filePublic Notice The Board of County Commissioners of Miami-Dade County, Florida, will conduct a public hearing in its meeting room on the 2nd floor of the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW 1st Street, Miami, Florida, on Tuesday, October 9, 2025, at 9:30 A.M., to consider creation of “Ocean Gate Village Multipurpose Maintenance Special Taxing District.” A petition for the creation and establishment of a special taxing district under the provisions of Chapter 18 of the Code of Miami-Dade County has been filed with the Clerk of the Board. Services to be provided will include multipurpose maintenance services, if and when necessary.
The boundaries of the proposed district are generally described as follows: THEO. SW 346 STREET (THEO. SW 2 STREET)
DISTRICT Bounded on the North by Theoretical S.W. 346th Street (Theo. S.W. 2nd Street); BOUNDARIES Bounded on the East by S.W. 177th Avenue (S. Krome Avenue); Bounded on the South by Theoretical S.W. 352nd Street (Theo. S.W. 7th Street); Bounded on the West by Transportation Corridor. N Boundaries are further indicated by the attached map. A copy of the petition and a summary of the County Mayor’s report are also attached.
Implementation of the assessment roll will be in accordance with the procedures defined in Chapter 18 of the Code. The PRIVATE
Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department has advised that the assessments for all individual properties within the ROADS
district are based on the assessable square foot for the multipurpose maintenance.
The total assessment covering a 12-month period will be computed by multiplying the total assessable square footage by the rate of $0.9296 per assessable square foot and is based on an estimate of costs if service were to commence in 2025. In the event any homeowners association or community development district fails to provide maintenance services, the multipurpose maintenance preliminary assessment roll will be presented to the Board for their consideration. Actual costs to provide multipurpose maintenance services will be determined and presented to the Board at that time. All future assessments will be computed on an annual basis.
The assessments will be included in the Combined Property Tax Bill and collected by the Tax Collector. Per Florida Statutes, THEO. SW 352 STREET (THEO. SW 7 STREET)
failure to pay non-ad valorem assessments when due [payable November 1 through March 31] will cause issuance of a tax certificate against the property, which may result in loss of title. OCEAN GATE VILLAGE
