ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID
SUGAR LOAF TOWNSHIP, ST. CLAIR COUNTY, ILLINOIS
Separate sealed bids will be received by the Sugar Loaf Township (OWNER) located at 240 S. 5th Street, Dupo, Illinois 62239 until 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time, October 3, 2025 at which time and place said bids will be opened and publicly read aloud.
Bids shall be submitted for:
Lift Station F Rehabilitation
Conditional or qualified bids will not be accepted.
Give special attention to and comply with project insurance and bonding requirements.
The contract and bidding documents may be examined at the following locations:
Sugar Loaf Township Office, 240 S. 5th Street, Dupo, IL 62239
Curry & Associates Engineers, Inc., 243 E. Elm, Nashville, IL 62263
Southern Illinois Builders Assoc., 1468 Green Mount Road, O'Fallon, IL 62269
Copies of the contract and bidding documents for purpose of bidding may be obtained at the office of Curry & Associates Engineers, Inc. P.O. Box 246, 243 E. Elm, Nashville, IL 62263, (ph. 618-327-8841), upon non-refundable payment of $100 for each set.
Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of at least five percent of the amount bid, drawn payable to the Sugar Loaf Township as security for the proper execution of the contract.
Bids from partnerships or joint ventures will not be acceptable.
The OWNER reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bids should it consider same to be in the best interest of the OWNER. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after date of receiving and opening bids.
The Illinois Dept. of Labor prevailing wages shall apply to the project, and hiring preference shall be given to the Illinois citizens.

This project is being funded by St. Clair County Community Block Grant Program.
Major Bidding Requirements:
CDBG funds are a part of Section 3 program that is a provision of the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Act of 1968.
Participation of Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) is required by Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Participation is determined at fifteen percent (15%).
This project must comply with Buy America, Build America (BABA) Act, 41 USC 8301.
Contractors and Subcontractors must be registered in SAM.gov.
