The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has determined the Fort Worth Meacham Airport Replacement Airport Traffic Control Tower is eligible for listing under the National Register of Historic Places The FAA has determined that the demolition of the FTW tower would constitute an adverse effect under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Concurrently, the FAA is coordinating with the Department of Interior under Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act. In consultation with the Texas Historical Commission, the FAA has proposed to mitigate the adverse effect by completing a Level III Historic American Buildings Survey recordation of the historic FTW tower, along with an interpretive display and a webpage. This notice announces the opportunity to comment on the FAA's efforts to comply with Sections 106 and 4(f). Comments Due: Oct. 14, 2025, 11:59 p.m. CT. Submit Comments: Aaron Comrov, Env.
