Said public hearing will be held to consider the formation of an assessment district (the "Assessment District") and adoption of the CEDA Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Program pursuant to Chapter 29 of Part 3 of Division 7 of the California Streets and Highways Code (commencing with Section 5898.12). The Assessment District will be a voluntary contractual assessment district to assist commercial property owners with the cost of installing certain renewable energy, energy efficiency, seismic retrofits, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, wildfire suppression for any portion of the City that lies within a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone and water efficiency improvements to their property. The geographical boundaries of the Assessment District will now include the geographical boundaries of the County of Stanislaus.
At the hearing, any person may present oral or written testimony. The Board of Directors will consider all objections or protests, if any, to the proposed (i) improvements, (ii) Assessment District boundaries, and (iii) Assessment District contractual assessment.
