CITY OF GAUTIER October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025 EMERGENCY BUDGET AMENDMENTS RESOLUTION NUMBER 203-2025 WHEREAS, the City of Gautier Fire Department requires immediate acquisition of a new fire truck to maintain adequate public safety services; and WHEREAS, the cost of such a vehicle was not anticipated in the original FY 2025 budget, and the need has arisen emergently; and WHEREAS, during the Budget Work Session on August 12, 2025, the Mayor and Council requested to proceed with this purchase; and WHEREAS, Mississippi Code permits governing authorities to adjust budgets by emergency amendment to address essential, unforseen circumstances; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Members of the City Council hereby find that the emergency amendment of the current budget as presented is in the best interests of the CIty; BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Members of the Council of the City of Gautier, Mississippi, that the Emergency Budget Amendments for FY 2025 are hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager or City Clerk is authorized to execute any and all documents necessary. This resolution shall take effect and be in full force on September 2, 2025.
