Ordinance No. 25-065
An ordinance amending the "Streets and Sidewalks" Chapter of the Code of the City of Arlington, Texas, 1987, through the amendment of Article VI, Obstructing Streets and Sidewalks, by the addition of Section 6.06, Temporary Traffic Control Permit, relative to temporary restrictions of vehicular or pedestrian access on a street or right-of-way and temporary detours of traffic onto a street from a closure on another street, and creating a Permit Fee; providing for a fine of up to $500 for each offense in violation of the ordinance; providing this ordinance be cumulative; and providing for severability, governmental immunity, injunctions, publication, and an effective date of October 1, 2025.
Any person who violates any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined an amount not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500) for each offense. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
