PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO APPROPRIATE PUBLIC WATERS TAKE NOTICE: That the City of West Richland on November 28, 2011, under Water Right Application No. S4-33044(B2), filed for a permit to appropriate public surface water, subject to existing rights, from the Columbia River, tributary of the Pacific Ocean, for year-round use in the amount of 12.758 cubic feet per second (cfs) and 3,539.85 acre-feet per year (ac-ft/yr) for municipal supply. The source of the proposed appropriation is located within the NW quarter of the NW quarter of Section 36, Township 10 N., Range 28 E.W.M., within Benton County, Washington. The proposed place of use is the service area described in the most recent City of West Richland Water System Plan/Small Water System Management Program approved by the WA State Department of Health.
