New York Blood Center Enterprises ("NYBCe") Notifies Clinical Services Recipients of Data Privacy Incident NEW YORK – On Sept. 5, 2025 New York Blood Center Enterprises ("NYBCe") announced that it recently addressed a cybersecurity incident involving limited clinical information NYBCe obtains from healthcare providers and partners in order to perform a variety of clinical services, including apheresis, cell therapy, and diagnostic blood testing. On January 26, 2025, NYBCe experienced a cybersecurity incident that affected its internal computer systems. NYBCe took immediate action to secure its systems and launched an investigation with help from cybersecurity partners. The investigation determined that, between January 20 and January 26, 2025, an unauthorized party gained access to its network and acquired copies of a subset of its files. The information contained in these files varied by individual but may have included names, limited health information, and test results. NYBCe does not collect or maintain contact information for individuals for whom it provides clinical services. As a result, NYBCe is unable to mail letters to individuals whose information may have been involved. If you believe you were affected by this incident and have questions, please contact NYBCe's dedicated, confidential call center, which is available at 877-250-2848, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., Eastern Time, excluding major U.S. holidays. NYBCe takes this matter very seriously and regrets any concern this may cause. To help prevent something like this from happening again, NYBCe has, and is continuing to, enhance its security protocols and technical safeguards to further protect and monitor its systems.
