CITY OF GULFPORT NORTHWOOD HILLS WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT PROJECT NO. 24050 The City of Gulfport is seeking sealed bids for the Northwood Hills Water Main Replacement Project. Sealed bids will be received in the Office of Procurement located at 1422 23rd Avenue, Jones Building, 2nd Floor, Gulfport, MS 39501, until 10:00 a.m., local time on, October 3, 2025, either by mail, hand delivery or uploaded to www.gulfportmsbids.com, after which time they will be opened and read aloud. Scope of Work: The project includes, but is not limited to, installation of new water mains and fire hydrants under asphalt streets, connection of water services to new water mains, abandonment of old water mains, repair of utility trenches, and related work. CDT, September 26, 2025. Questions submitted after this date will not be considered. Bidders shall provide an email address or fax number to direct the consolidated "question and answer" addendum. Answers will be provided as an addendum in writing and transmitted via email or fax to all prospective bidders who are known to have requested and received a copy of the bid package. Only answers transmitted in this manner will be considered official and valid. No negotiations, decisions, or actions shall be initiated by any bidder as a result of any verbal discussion. The City is NOT responsible for bids which are mailed to the wrong address or which arrive in the mail after the designated bid opening time. Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities and equipment, material and/or supply needs. For bids exceeding $50,000.00, Bidder must indicate his Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of sealed proposal as required by Mississippi Law. Effective July 1, 2010; Per MS Code 31-3-21(3); any bid submitted by a nonresident contractor which does not include the nonresident contractor's current state law pertaining to such state's treatment of nonresident contractors, shall be rejected and not considered for award. If no such law exists in the nonresident contractor's state, then the non-resident contractor may provide a statement to that effect. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
