Ordinance NO. ORD-29-25 BY THE COUNCIL CORLESS, HALLYBURTON, MORALES, NASH, STEAD AND WILLITS. AN ORDINANCE, ENTITLED THE “ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2025,” APPROPRIATING $1,519,120,346 DEEMED NECESSARY TO DEFRAY ALL EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF BOISE CITY, IDAHO, FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR; SPECIFYING THE OBJECTS AND PURPOSES FOR WHICH SAID APPROPRIATION IS MADE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDI- NANCE; AUTHORIZING A LEVY OF A SUFFICIENT TAX UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 50-1002, Idaho Code, the City of Boise has prepared a budget and has tentatively approved estimat- ed revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year commencing October 1, 2025, and ending September 30, 2026; and WHEREAS, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, pursuant to Section 50-1002, Idaho Code, the City of Boise held a Public Hearing in the Coun- cil Chambers, at the City Hall, City of Boise, Idaho, on the proposed FY 2026 Budget for the purpose of considering public comment on services, expenditures and revenues planned for fiscal year 2026; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 50-1003, Idaho Code, the City of Boise is required to pass an annual appropriation ordinance prior to the commencement of each fiscal year. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOISE, IDAHO: Section 1. That the sums of money, or as much thereof as may be authorized by law, needed, or deemed necessary to defray all expenses and liabilities of the City of Boise, for the general and special municipal and corporate purposes and objectives of the City of Boise, Idaho, be appropriated for the fiscal year commencing October 1, 2025, and ending September 30, 2026. Section 2. That a general tax levy on all taxable property within the City of Boise be levied in an amount allowed by law for the general purpose for said City, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2025. Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 6. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication. ADOPTED by the Council of Boise City, Idaho, on August 26, 2025.
