REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Science Wing with Agriculture Science and Shop Complex Project Lease-Leaseback Construction Delivery Method The Hughson Unified School District ("District") is seeking proposals, from qualified and experienced general (B licensed) contractors, for construction of the planned modernization of Hughson High School ("Project"). The District is located in Stanislaus County, California, and Hughson High School is located at 7419 E. Whitmore Avenue in the City of Hughson ("Project Site"). The District intends to complete the Project using the lease-leaseback construction delivery method authorized by Education Code Section 17406. Additional information regarding the Project is set forth in RFQ/RFP No. 2434 ("RFP"), which can be downloaded from the District's website at https://hughsonschools.org/en-us/maintenance-facilities-77395442/projects-93d0eee3 . The RFP sets forth the criteria that the District will use to determine which contractor will constitute the best value to the District. Interested contractors must register with the District, as described in the RFP, in order to attend the mandatory conference and site visit, obtain the required forms of agreements, ask questions regarding the RFP or the Project, receive any subsequently issued addenda to the RFP, and to submit a proposal. The District will conduct a mandatory conference and site visit, at the Project Site, on September 18, 2025, commencing at 10:00 a.m. The District will not accept a proposal from any contractor that does not attend the entirety of the conference and site visit. The RFP includes contact information for the District representative who is authorized to respond to written questions about the RFP and the Project. The deadline for submitting questions is 12:00 p.m. (noon) on September 22, 2025. The deadline for submittal of proposals is 2:00 p.m. on September 30, 2025. The location for submittal of proposals is 7448 Fox Road, Hughson, California, Building: District Office. Each contractor shall be solely responsible for ensuring that its proposal is timely received by the District. The District reserves the rights to (i) waive minor irregularities in the procurement process or any proposal and/or (ii) reject any or all proposals. If the initially selected contractor does not timely execute and deliver the required agreement forms, the District, in its sole discretion, may negotiate with contractors having the next highest best value rankings, in the order determined by the District in accordance with the RFP.
