Public Notice State Road (SR) 968/West Flagler Street and SW 1 Street Bridges Notice of Temporary Change to the Drawbridge Operating Schedule The Florida Department of Transportation is authorized to temporarily deviate from drawbridge operation regulation 33 CFR 117.305(b) that governs the SW 1st Street Bridge, mile 0.9, and the West Flagler Street Bridge, mile 1.0, across the Miami River, at Miami, FL. Under this temporary deviation, the SW 1st Street and the West Flagler Street Bridges are allowed to operate as follows: From 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. the bridges will open on the hour and half-hour on the following Saturday dates: • September 13, 2025 • September 20, 2025 At all other times, the bridges will operate per their normal operating regulation. Public vessels of the United States, tugs and tugs with tow, and vessels in distress shall be passed at any time. This authorization is in support of the SR 836 Highway closure. The U.S. Coast Guard will announce the temporary change to the bridge operating regulations in the Local Notice to Mariners and via a Broadcast Notice to Mariners.
