NOTICE TO BIDDERS RFB #25-080 Sealed proposals will be received by Wake County Procurement Services, in Suite 2900, Wake County Justice Center, 301 S McDowell Street, Raleigh, NC 27601, up to 2PM on 9/10/2025, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for providing labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of Wake County Government SE Library VAV Replacements & East R Library Mechanical Replacement, located in Wake County, NC. An electronic copy of the contract documents (PDF) may be obtained from the Engineer by sending an email request to Allison Jurgens at ajurgens@mckimcreed.com. Complete contract documents will also be open for inspection in the offices of the Engineer. The scope of work consists of, but is not limited to, the following at East R Library: During a 2-week shutdown of the facility:Removal and replacement of (3) existing AHUs as well as (6) fan powered terminal units.Replacement of the existing heating hot water boiler and its associated pumps (new primary/secondary system).Outside of the 2-week shutdown:Controls for the associated AHUs, FPBs and heating hot water system.Integration of existing air-cooled chiller, chilled water pump, and system to new BAS system.Add Alternate M-1: Cleaning of supply and return ductwork.Add Alternate M-2: Existing 1" heating hot water lines from Storage Room 115 to FPB-3 & FPB-4 shall be replaced.Add Alternate M-3: Preferred brand of the air handling units is to be Daikin and Lochinvar for the boiler. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 3PM, local prevailing time on 9/3/2025, in Main Lobby of the East Regional Library, 946 Steeple Square Ct, Knightdale NC.
